Both Chrysler Dodge and Dodge Trucks have been known for their fascinating and even history all the way back to the original “Dodge Brothers” themselves. This is mainly due to the hard work of these two most dedicated and unique pair – the Dodge brothers to fabricate the various parts of the earliest Ford Model T. The fruit of their labor eventually paid off when Model T was finally released in the market during 1914. And amazingly the Model T was already sold out as of 1915.

As a result of their direct inputs into the established auto product of the day – the Ford Model T – the widespread fame of the two results. It can be said that the T and the Ford Motor Company’s fortunes interestingly laid Dodge framework, foundation and no doubt name as an auto maker of notice and merit. With that the brothers opted to apply their knowledge on auto manufacture to create more superior and quality trucks. Their popularity also resulted to more and more people going to them and asking them to build trucks that are lighter. However due to their persistent orders they were not able to find time to construct light trucks then.

The brothers also felt honored when the government sought their help in creating as much as 20 thousand chassis, ambulances, and trucks that are half tons for the Great War in Europe war effort. These were all used to aid the military in the World War 1.

That was a major turning point for the Dodge brothers. Since then the whole lot of things has been growing in their way. Transforming the designs they have made for the government for the military in WW 1, they produced other vehicles like trucks, cars and among others. Their designs for ambulance was revolutionize them as the impetus for car development and manufacturing itself – not the other way around. With that step they are able to offer other products in the market. No doubt about it was the very ability of the Dodge Brothers to both work with other entities and then use those products and expertise to juggernaut and leap frog onto the next step and stepping zone in a sequence.

Yet it can be said that the Ford Model T and their working relationship with Ford allowed them their major entry point of the Dodge truck line. Having the Dodge truck workup chosen by the US military as the major award contender for the US military’s choice for a truck vehicle propelled them somehow into the side market of ambulance production again with a unique product that served that niche market well.  It was then this ambulance product that allowed for the development, production and acceptance of the Dodge car lineup.  Voila and what a winning sequence as a means to develop both solid products and a solid automobile manufacturing enterprise.

The brothers eventually decided to create a contract with the Graham brothers. In their agreement they arranged that the Dodge brothers will make the auto parts available then the Graham brothers will construct the finished autos. The very first truck they created together was a pickup truck that weighs more than a ton. This was put up for sale for only $1345.00. That is a knockout.  If only that price still holds true today.

The Dodge’s history absolutely developed to a great extent into an auto company that is of great importance these days. They are now offering infinite numbers of auto trimmings in addition to various intend and feature of vehicles. Continuous innovations of their products are also being done to ensure its quality and make. Price wise we can say that their vehicles are still reasonably price. However the 1900’s price will no longer be possible. You might be one of the many individual caught between a Dodge and a Ford vehicle. Well you can reflect these were once partners anyway.
